Hammerson staff should feel rightly proud of what they’ve achieved to date, fantastic figures. And with many more volunteer days still to come, there's still a major bank of goodness just waiting to happen.
Additionally, we can reveal some individual stars and some big numbers...
Our Action Heroes:
Nicola Hares from Cabot Circus, Lynne Butler from Silverburn and Lisa Jackson from Centrale have each banked over 30 actions
Most individual butterflies banked:
Beth Healy, Centrale, 1,045
Highest butterfly banking Centre:
Centrale with 5,110
Highest volunteer days taken by a Centre:
Silverburn with 12 Days
Reading, SportInspired = 25 volunteers
The day is about mentoring young people on the value of sport, and the multitude of sports that are available.
Shoreditch, St. Hilda’s Community Centre = 20 volunteers
St. Hilda’s East is a vibrant multi-purpose community centre, catering for all sections of the local community. We’ll be room-painting and bringing their small garden plot to life.
Croydon, Whitehorse Youth Centre = 17 volunteers
The Hammerson team of volunteers will be helping to renovate these parts of the youth centre. Furthermore, we'll be building allotments to give the young users of the centre somewhere to grow their own produced, promoting healthy, organic eating.
This first month has been excellent, and we’re now counting down to Community Day on 5th June. Community Day is Hammerson’s flagship volunteering commitment, so if you have yet to sign up, please register and book yours today.
