Congratulations to our award winners!

Wednesday 23rd September 2015

We're pleased to announce the winners of The Butterfly Bank awards 2015.

What a successul first campaign for Hammerson and The Butterfly Bank.

Over 80% of the UK business opened an account.  Our 100,000 butterfly target was reached in three months, and banking still continues... Over 226 days of volunteering has been committed-to, or been delivered.  And 2,500 positive actions have been taken!

What an amazing first campaign.  And it's not over yet... We have recenly presented our Butterfly Bank awards to our butterfly heroes.  Plus we've just announced our new target of 200,000 which we'll be aiming to reach by Community Day 2016.

Our Butterfly Heroes

Top Banking Team - Cabot Circus

The team at Cabot Circus have shown true commitment to volunteering and taking positive action, banking over 35,000 butterflies by taking almost 1500 actions between them, including their community day activity with Children’s Hospice South West.

We hope they enjoy their Best of British Afternoon Cream Tea with Sparkling English Wine.  Plus breeding their own butterflies with a new butterfly farm.

Top Butterflier - Nicola Hares from Cabot Circus

Nicola has been using the Butterfly Bank regularly to record daily changes in behaviours.  Her shear commitment to adopting new more sustainable ways to do things is impressive, and that’s why she’s found herself at the top of our banking leader board.

We hope Nicola likes her new Butterfly Biome from the RSPB.

Action Hero - Alyson Thomson from Silverburn

With over 120 actions, Alyson has demonstrated her commitment to improving our environment and community through her daily behaviours. That’s why she is our Action Hero.

We hope Alyson likes her new Butterfly Biome from the RSPB.

Butterfly Spirit Award – Louise Kehoe from Commercialisation, Reading

Community Day gives employees the chance to help the local community whilst getting to know colleagues from across the business.  Louise was recommend for the award after embracing the chance to join a different team for the day, travelling to Croydon for Community day, where LNK found her to be warm, engaged and a great team member.

We hope Louise enjoys her ethical beauty products.

Thank you to everyone for their efforts and we look forward to reaching our new target and sharing more rewards, stories and positivity across Hammerson.
