What a week of action!

WGBW and Butterfly Bank

Thank you to everyone who banked their Butterflies during World Green Building Week (WGBW).

We had a fantastic level of engagement with each of the themed days:

• Energy and Carbon
• Water and Biodiversity
• Socio-economic
• Resources

During WGBW, a massive 1,124 sustainable actions were taken. Of this number, 233 actions were specifically promoted for WGBW on Butterfly Bank, meaning an extra 4,460 Butterflies were banked.

Highlights from the week:

• Marc Paul Murphy from Oracle was the Top Banker with 55 sustainable actions.
• Meat Free Monday was our most banked action, with 30 people taking the action and reducing their carbon footprint through their diet.
• Finding out your carbon footprint was also a popular action, 25 people used the WWF tool and banked their butterflies for discovering their lifestyle’s footprint. You can read other people’s footprints and their pledges to reduce it on the Conversations section of OnDemand.

Don’t forget that whilst this year’s WGBW is over, all the new actions from the week remain on Butterfly Bank. Why not find out your carbon or slavery footprint and pledge to reduce your impact? Both quizzes take a matter of minutes but the environmental or social impacts can have a lasting impression.
