Autumn has begun for real. The mornings are getting cooler and who know what the rain is doing?! This means comfort food is back on the menu. Whilst October means pumpkins and pumpkin spice galore, there are also other seasonal produce that deserve the spotlight. Take a look to see what you fancy this month:

 

Vegetables: artichoke, beetroot, broccoli, butternut squash, celeriac, celery, chicory, chillies, fennel, garlic, horseradish, jerusalem artichoke, kale, kohlrabi, leeks, lettuce & salad leaves, marrow, parsnips, potatoes, pumpkin, radishes, rocket, runner beans, salsify, shallots, swede, sweetcorn, tomatoes, turnips, watercress, wild mushrooms

 

Fruit: apples, bilberries, blackberries, elderberries, figs [i], grapes [i], pears,

 

Meat: beef, duck, goose, grouse, guinea fowl, hare, lamb, mallard, partridge, pheasant, rabbit, turkey, venison, wood pigeon
